The Library Transparency Package takes your library inventory list and automatically matches titles against our database of 28,000+ reviews, independent ratings, and historical challenge data, so you can understand what's on the shelves and save your school time and money!
How It Works: Send us a spreadsheet of each school's library inventory and for each school we send you a rated and reviewed inventory list. Districts are free to distribute this list in conjunction with parental opt-out letters, or to keep the list private for internal use only. NBRI will not share these lists.
How-to provide an Inventory List: The district or individual schools provide an Excel export of their "Title and Copy List." For best matching purposes we recommend including the title, author and ISBN numbers. In Destiny-Follett librarians can export a list with these steps: Reports-Library Reports- Title and copy list-Select by -Titles-Show Titles- All Titles-Output - choose Excel
NBRI Reconciliation: We reconcile your specific inventory against our database of 28,000+ reviews, independent ratings, and historical challenge data. See our rating standardization table here.
Parent-Ready Deliverables: For every school in the package, we can also provide templates for parent opt-out letters, empowering each parent to choose for their child! Parents can print, sign and return the letters to the school with their personal preferences checked, such as not allowing their child to check out books rated 3/5 or higher.
Restore the partnership between schools and families, and stay compliant with the law.
Parents can purchase individual lists here.
